Rose C. Sievert dies at 84
Rose C. Sievert, of Chesterton, died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center, Michigan City. She was 84.
She was born, March 31, 1919 in Furnessville, the daughter of Wilbur and Blanche (McMillon) Crawford, both of whom preceded her in death.
On June 28, 1947 in Michigan City, she married Oliver J. Sievert, who survives.
She is also survived by a niece, Nancy (William) Pacholke of Porter and many other nieces and nephews; three sisters, Dorothy Woodruff of Michigan City, Florence (Vic) Pagels of Michigan City and Audrey Cook of LaPorte and two brothers, Harvey (Ruth) Crawford and Delbert (Beverly) Crawford of LaPorte.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Melinda Thompson, Evelyn Rude, Blanche Crawford, Laura Crawford and five brothers, Harold, Jack, Marvin, Glen and Raymond Crawford.
She was a homemaker, prior to her marriage, she had worked at Joy Manufacturing and Reliance Manufacturing. She loved to travel with her husband. She loved traveling to Mich., Ill., and within Indiana to big ballroom dances.
A funeral service is scheduled at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 10 at Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St., Michigan City. Interment will be at Furnessville Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Carlisle Funeral Home.
